MELT is operated by ArgentisLabs LLC. “MELT” — and the media mark “BÆCON MELT” — are names used by ArgentisLabs LLC. Questions, reports, and legal notices: report@meltmath.com.

What this site publishes

MELT is an observatory. It publishes observations — records of what humans, instruments, machines, and public records reported, with their provenance attached. Publication is not endorsement and not verification: every observation is marked unverified until independent evidence corroborates it, and even corroborated means “independently supported,” never “guaranteed true.” We screen submissions for safety and privacy — not for agreement, and not for truth. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose, and you should not rely on any observation here as your sole basis for a decision.

Not advice, not an emergency service

Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, medical, or safety advice. Coin-related figures (melt value, spot prices, measurements) are reference data, not valuations or offers. MELT is not a crisis channel and is not monitored in real time — if you are in danger or witnessing an emergency, contact local emergency services, not this site.

Observations you submit

Submissions are anonymous and no account exists. By recording an observation you affirm it is something you actually observed, and you give ArgentisLabs LLC a perpetual, non-exclusive right to publish it in redacted form and to preserve it as part of the observation record. What we do with it is what the site says we do: exact locations are generalized by a human before anything publishes, photo metadata (including GPS) is destroyed on intake, your IP address is not stored (a salted daily hash enforces rate limits, nothing more), and published records remain permanently marked with their verification status. Do not submit other people’s personal information, unlawful material, or anything whose publication could endanger you or others — screening exists to catch these, and rejected submissions are never shown.

Scope and curation — the spine

Observations are accepted only insofar as they relate to the observatory’s spine: the curated body of publicly observable artifacts — events, places, instruments, and records — that evidence here is related to. A report about a private matter with no public referent does not belong in the record and will not publish. What constitutes the spine — the nature and identity of its artifacts, their selection and arrangement — is the authored editorial work of ArgentisLabs LLC and its copyright as author; admission, holding, or removal of any observation against it is at our discretion, and inclusion is never owed. You retain whatever rights you hold in your own words; the license you grant us is described above.

The coin registry

Commodities registrations and re-verifications are measurements, not authentication. We record weight, visual fingerprints, and acoustic readings, and we compare later readings against registered ones. We do not grade, appraise, authenticate, or guarantee any coin, and a consistent measurement is not a statement that an item is genuine — it is a statement that the same measurements recurred.

Third-party content

Evidence links point to material we do not control and have not fetched, hosted, or verified. Machine-ingested observations attribute their sources (news coverage, seismic networks, fundraising platforms, public records); those attributions identify where a claim was made, not that it is true. Fundraising figures are readings of a platform’s public page at a stated time — MELT is unaffiliated with any campaign and money never moves through this site.

Reports, corrections, removal

If an observation about you is wrong, exposes private information, or should be removed — or if you believe content here is unlawful — write to report@meltmath.com with the observation id (the OBS- code). A contested observation is evidence too: reports may be recorded as contradicting evidence in the public lattice, and records may be unpublished while under review.

The boring parts

Service provided as-is; we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. Liability of ArgentisLabs LLC is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. These terms may change; the effective date above moves when they do, and continued use after a change is acceptance. If a court voids part of these terms, the rest stands.
